Contractors

Construction managers, general contractors and trade contractors are our primary clients.  Logical Resources works with contractors to identify critical project requirements and to develop plans to meet these requirements.  Our consultants facilitate communication between project team members and provide third party consulting through baseline CPM schedule development and subsequent CPM schedule progress management.  Working with a third party CPM schedule consultant ensures that all team member’s critical requirements are identified.  Identifying individual critical requirements allows our consultants to develop a CPM schedule that coordinates these requirements.  Coordinating the input of all project team members into the baseline CPM schedule results in a plan developed for overall project success.  Working with a third party consultant provides reassurance to project team members that preferential consideration is not given to any one team member and overall success is the basis of the CPM schedule.  This results in a high rate of CPM schedule acceptance and renders the CPM schedule the primary tool used for project planning.

In addition to providing a detailed construction plan, CPM schedules also provide a foundation for advanced progress analysis.  Using a CPM schedule, our consultants are able to provide time and cost related variance reports that enables project teams to evaluate project performance.  Project performance can be evaluated based on project time, project cost, or both project time and cost.  Integrating project cost into the CPM schedule also enables our consultants to manage earned value.  Once values have been assigned to CPM schedule activities, updating activity progress automatically calculates the total value of work in place over the update period.  Our integrated CPM schedule and earned value management service eliminates the manual data entry associated with updating cost for work in place on an independent schedule of values.  This integrated process streamlines the periodic application for payment process and reduces the amount of time project teams allocate to prepare periodic applications for payment.
